Dog Training

With professional dog training techniques and positive methods, GusPets® guarantees results that will last a lifetime.

Individual Dog Training – 1-Hour Session is just $130*

It includes a personalised training plan for you to practice with your dog and keep up the results.

*There is a 10% additional fee for peak season. Peak season includes all public and school holidays, Christmas and New Year Season 15 Dec–26 Jan inclusive.

Has your puppy had unusual behaviours, such as whining, destruction of the house, trembling, excessive vocalisations, mouthing or nipping, inappropriate elimination, etc?

Your dog may be suffering the symptoms of intense anxiety or stress!

During the training session, we will identify the factors and signs of a dog’s anxiety, as well as the steps you will need to take to improve your dog’s self-confidence levels and independence.

A guide about Dog’s Anxiety and Communication, and a practical plan to follow will be provided.

At GusPets, we offer hourly socialisation sessions designed to help your furry friend build confidence and learn positive play manners.
Your dog will:

• Join our friendly and well-socialised dogs at GusPets House
• Be closely supervised and guided by a certified dog trainer
• Receive a personalised report after each session with insights and progress notes
• Give your pup the chance to socialise, learn, and have fun in a safe, structured environment!

Each 1 hour Socialisation Session costs only $45 per dog.

8-16 weeks is the ideal and crucial age for puppy classes.

As puppies need a calm environment and closer attention to learn effectively, we do small groups of up to 4 puppies classes with you and your puppy.

GusPets® Puppy Training includes:

Obedience Training
Your puppy will learn to sit, stay, come and lie down. Plus, puppy toilet training guidance for you.

Manners
Learn how to teach your puppy the RECALL, HOUSE TRAINING, LEAVE IT, DROP IT, for a well-behaved dog around other dogs and people.

Leash Techniques
Heel training to improve leash pulling behaviour. Your dog will learn how to walk by your side. You will learn basic leash and grid techniques.

Socialisation
All you need to learn about dogs’ body language and signals that your puppy will give you to try to communicate with you. During this class, we will arrange to take the puppy for an outdoors practical test or at GusPets® House with other puppies around.

You will also receive:
– Personalised Training Plan for you to keep practising with your puppy.
– Phone and email support for your questions and assistance.

Each 1 hour class costs $120 per puppy.

    We accommodate no more than 10 dogs at any time in the house, which means, the dogs have personalised care and a relaxing experience
  • Photos & Videos
    We keep you updated by sending you photos and videos of your dog, providing you peace of mind and comfort knowing that your dog is safe and having a great time
  • Home Environment
    The House has a safe front-yard and backyard for outdoors play (there’s NO use of crates, cages or playpens in the large 586 m2 spacious house)

Gus is a very good trainer. Our 3 year old dog barks at everything,by the end of the hour Gus had taught us how to handle the barking and the essential commands like "leave it". Our dog was able to stop barking and wait. It was amazing. I feel with the training today and consistent daily 5 to 10 minute training the problem barking will be solved. Thank you Gus.
